I was on the lookout for a new job as I was being made redundant. I’d seen the Business Works job advert being shared by The Main Deal and after reading the job description, I emailed my CV across. The MD, Jo, then emailed, inviting me for an interview, in which I was successful.
I think it’s easier being a local person in a local job, as your local knowledge can come in useful, it also makes you feel part of the community and it means I am able to walk to work!
