"AHHHHHHHHHHH YIPPEEEE, pass me the beers”……. It’s what I can hear all around Garforth from the local schools, the Teachers and TA’s leaving the school grounds for the last time in 2016!!
All of my Teacher friends are absolutely shattered, hats off to all Teachers and TA’s I don’t know how they do it……. a huge thanks goes to them
A lovely time was had this Wednesday at The Station House Café with Garforth Community Choir, lots of homemade pizzas going round along with pastries, cakes, fruit punch and gorgeous mince pies. A great feel good evening was had by all.
Look out for my last Facebook LIVE on Monday, about 10! Who will I be with next, either way I will be having fun doing it.
Garforth Film is on tomorrow, hopefully the first of many. Have a listen at what Anna is trying to achieve in our community, and if you can help, please get in touch with her.
Here’s the full radio interview she had earlier this week with Radio Leeds
Still time to purchase tickets for tomorrow's first filming at 2.00pm, The Muppets Christmas Carol
Garforth Flood Group Christmas Party event tomorrow evening, lots going on and lots of great local people to help you get in the mood for the Christmas season.
Monday at Cielo

I see on the hoardings, Weatherspoon’s has put up an official opening date of 7th March 2017!
Lots of planning, reports and information being passed through social media of late about the new proposals with Thorpe Park and how M&S are moving from CrossGates, as it may be a good move for M&S, I don’t think it will be a good move for Crossgates, I think it brought a good amount of footfall! I believe in a good balance of shops as it then appeals to more and fits people’s appetites. I hope when this new large retail park does open in 2018 it doesn’t detract from our fabulous high street. We are growing in such a fabulous way and more of what people want is coming, if we all support it now, then it has a sustainable future. Think before you buy is all it takes.
This is me signing off until 2017, have a listen to some of our wonderful businesses wishing you a very Merry Garforth Christmas
Love where we live, take care of the town you call home, it’s more than just where your house sits
