It's official, we can now celebrate Christmas; even though I have been celebrating with a box of roses for quite sometime now.
What a shame for the the Christmas Lights Switch on last Friday, what rubbish weather, making it damp, cold and miserable and then hindering the electrics on the stage. Well done to Garforth Community Choir who were singing their hearts out, using all their lung capacity to reach out to us and to our local dancers who also had to dance in a very small space so they wouldn't slip. Good old British weather hey. I didn't deter too many of you, 6.20pm there was plenty of people about having a mooch at the stalls and waiting patiently for our Christmas lights and fireworks - well done you.
The market was also very busy on Saturday morning when the weather seemed kinder. Well done to the Christmas Committee
I also hope you saw our great posters for next year Garfeast2018 - did you spot the date? We try to be organised
