So it's national, Ask a stupid question day?
Being blonde, I have asked a fair few in my time, like 'Why is Bill Stickers going to be prosecuted?' true! My friend this morning posted to me, how she asked, "Why do tuna fish like dolphins?" or, same friend asked "If Moses was called Moses because they found him in a moses basket?" I went to school with these people! If you think about it hard enough, you could probably laugh at yourself about a stupid question you have once asked?
Well what a weekend of laughter, as well as a few headaches… dam you Gin.
I went to Ribchester (yes it’s a place) just outside Blackburn and we stayed in a very beautiful holiday home. Witin walking distance we found a very quaint, independent Wine Shed. What a fabulous place it was, a shed full of wine from all over the world, as the weather was so beautifully last Saturday, we sat outside; 10 women in their mid-40’s laughing hysterically with wine….. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but we had wine! It's taken me all week to get over the tiredness.........
Anyway, I was back to it on Tuesday, with meetings and making new connections and discussing ideas for Christmas, yes, there I said it, the C word! But we need to be organised and prepared which then makes it all a little bit easier.
A poster for The Repair Cafe will soon be released in our library and local coffee shops and businesses so you can find out about the day you can come along and offer your skills so we can get this project off the ground, I will of course, be sharing it on our social media pages too. We've already had a few volunteers!
You’re Welcome to stay and watch our Beanie Boppers session then we have Songs and Stories for 0-5yrs. A session where you can grab a tea/coffee or juice and a chat whilst your children have lunch and then sing along and listen to stories and songs.
I can’t believe we will be in October next week. One of my favourite times of the year, HALLOWEEN, I think I have more boxes of decorations for Halloween than I do for Christmas and the #thomboys aren’t really that excited about it as me. I also love the conkers falling and cooler days, and being able to get my socks and boots back on and start to get our house all Hygge. (hoo-gar) Danish for a feeling, all cosy and warm.
I’m off to see Kylie in concert next Thursday – minus wearing the gold hot pants – ye’haa
Have a great weekend, I am out at 450 Pizza tonight, first time and I'm really looking forward to it. #enjoylocal
Until next week....................
