GADS was formed in 1947 by a small group of local people from Garforth and surrounding area. Today we are a small and friendly Society that performs 2 productions a year. Our plays consist of comedies, thrillers, dramas and farces. We are an affiliated member of the National Operatic & Drama Association (NODA). We would welcome contact from prospective new members, whether they be interested in acting or helping back stage with set building, lighting, make up or costume etc. As well as our productions we have a number of social events every year and also hold regular play readings, usually at The Gaping Goose Public House, which are open to all. Please see our website for details of forthcoming events.
