Vote for GARFEAST2018 – Tesco Tokens
From the 1st November until the 1st January, when shopping at Tesco’s, you will be able to put your blue tokens in our Garforth Feastival box. In order we can make things bigger and better year on year, we need your support, so please, ask for your blue tokens if you don’t automatically get one at the till, and please put them into our Feastival box – First prize is £4,000 – imagine what we could do with this!
We have to thank…. Howden’s Kitchens this week for kindly donating £250.00 to next year’s #Garfeast too, people are really getting behind, the good of Garforth. The more we receive, the more we can achieve
There are some conversations and posts that should NOT be put on social media……………..
Last week, a terrible incident happened in Barclays Bank. A poor elderly man collapsed and died and his wife was injured too as he fell.
This is such a sad story and I was horrified to read people second guessing on social media about how many ambulances and police and first responders were outside and guessing what it was, and then people arguing who was right and wrong and then starting rumours as to what it was or wasn’t……………………..REALLY!
When there’s an array of emergency services, then no second guessing or a conversation should be had, there’s a terrible incident happened, clearly, does it really need a conversation on a gossip page? … I was baffled!
Poor family, does anyone not think of these people FIRST
#RANTOVER
In November
I am delighted to say….
After the half term holidays, we have a new Guest Blogger joining us, a local business owner will be adding to our blog with their thoughts and prospective on Garforth and a few other topics of their choosing. It will be interesting to read things, perhaps from the other side of the counter?
Have a happy half term and enjoy your little ones whether you’re a parent or a grandparent, they grow so fast and the holidays are over far too quickly.
Getting ready for Halloween – AgeUk were certainly getting their shop in the spirit; but not to every bodies taste as it’s now been taken down!
I found it rather amusing, it certainly got people looking into their window #halloweenfun Perhaps a #steptoofar for Garforth?
Until 3rd November….. have a lovely half term
