When your kid loses a shoe
Is there nothing more frustrating than your kid losing their shoe at the exact time you need to leave the house for school? Most kids only have 1 pair of school shoes, so when they can’t find one, it makes the whole house lose their soul! It becomes an uncontrollable rage where you’re now shouting like your own Mother was, 40 years ago!
Why are they not together?
Why didn’t you put them in the shoe cupboard, then you know where they are (you know, the one you had specially built…. FOR SHOES)
Check the dog hasn’t had it.
Why would you separate your shoes?
I’m going to scream…. I scream
Like your child’s phone, can someone please put a tracker in shoes! It’s not a crazy idea, and this problem of #lostshoegate is not a new problem, it’s been the cause of screaming households for centuries, so can we please make the problem go away in the 21st century?

LET’S MAKE GARFORTH PURPLE!
“Hopefully, the weather will be kind to us on Saturday and that you can spare an hour or so to have a Womble as part of the Leeds goes Purple day. (Or you can do your bit on Friday or Sunday if that’s better for you)
The idea is to have as many purple bags as possible being filled to raise the awareness of litter and the work of local volunteer groups like ours. If you’re wearing purple too that would be fab

BIG ERECTION
Have you seen the size of the new mast outside the Shell garage? I know they’re needed, but it’s pretty fugly, huge and grey, I know people like grey, but not this much #inyourface. Can we ask to get it painted, brown on the trunk and green on the top so it fits in with the trees along Selby Road…? I’m sure the resident’s opposite would approve of my mad hat idea!

The sun is going away
It’s the week (according to the BBC weather App) the sun is going to mostly disappear for a week. We’re going to have a mix of warm showers and perhaps a glimpse of the sun throughout the week. We don’t want the rain, but we probably need it, can’t believe I’m saying that but it’s July man, the time the sun should be out… we need it for happiness and drinks
