I know for many, Easter is far more than pastel eggs and paper bonnets. Being brought (dragged) up Catholic, I get that for a lot of people it’s rooted in faith and meaning, and without that, we wouldn’t be marking it at all. So however you choose to spend it, take a moment, slow it down a bit, and enjoy time with your family.
Now… my version is slightly more Dawn French energy. I’m talking full commitment, chocolate fountain, no judgement, possibly questionable life choices.
Or, if you’re keeping things a touch more civilised, treat yourself to something proper from Dumouchel. Proper chocolate, none of the Supermarket (sort of chocolate) nonsense, just the good stuff done well. It doesn’t need to be massive, just enough to hit that “this was worth it” level. You could also contact Sally of Grange Chocolates, you can collect, and you maybe lucky, she may have some fabulous choices left – https://grangechocolates.co.uk/collections/easter
And if you really want to elevate things… chocolate and a good red wine. You’re welcome.

Grassy area (The Cliff, behind the fire station)
If you follow us regularly you will have seen we reported the land seemed to have a leak as its extremely boggy (pic). LCC came back to me and said they were aware of the flooded area and were in touch with Yorkshires water for them to investigate. Yorkshire Water were due to go out on Wednesday
