Looking forward to seeing if I can work with a new Quirky local business in the next month or so, something a little unique to Garforth, a business from home but may have premises in the future – I’m hoping to be able to shout from the roof tops about this soon.
After several more reviews this week, done so with very little voice due to a lovely dose of Laryngitis; it’s amazing how many people were happy I couldn’t speak! – bit of a problem when it’s a massive part of my job #talking
From all the reviews I have done over the past several weeks, the same issue arises with all businesses, whether it’s a local shop or a local exercise close or local business –
‘We need more consistent customers’
Please pledge to shop in at least one shop, once a week – it takes you to start the trend. A little goes a long way to help keep our businesses local.

Main Street Cafe – as previously mentioned the cafe has been accepted by planning for changes, it appears there may not be many internal changes but the cafe will certainly be that of a take away as hours are from 17.00 – 11.30pm Let’s hope it’s a good addition
Great photos coming in for the transition from empty space to St Gemma’s new bigger and better shop – rumours are already rife about no 45 where they are moving from – yet to find out
Not long to go until we will be opening a large new charity shop in Garforth!! We are looking for VOLUNTEERS for this shop. If you can spare a few hours or more please ring Sue Shop Manager on 0113 2875970 for further details.
I have just put an advert in for the great St Benedict’s summer fayre Brochure which will be held on 28th June, 11-1pm. It’s a great local event that happens every year and last year they raised £3,000 towards a new mini bus. Great things can be achieved when people come together.
