I now have 72 members on The Main Deal with the website hitting 47,000 and social media pages having a huge weekly reach, which tells me people are seeing on The Main Deal first, what’s happening locally through lots of
different channels
I Did a presentation to year 12 students of Garforth Academy about what’s local
Did a presentation to NET computer workshop
Cross marketed local companies who are now working together; helped local companies bring in new business.
Giving a platform for community to see what’s local; slowly changing perceptions
Helped a new local company believe in themselves and that they could achieve their goal by putting them in touch with the right people to make their ideas into reality which is now bringing in new business.
Teaching businesses about social media and how to make it work better for their business
Through Garforth Hour I have helped Garforth in Bloom with several new plots being sponsored
Through Garforth Hour I have helped introduce local businesses to each other and helped let them see what’s also local.
TMD has helped publicise many events on and around Main Street such as Garforth Arts Festival, Fiveraffle, Christmas Lights.
I am in partnership with Arts Live after putting together the Local Garforth Community Choir
I have been part of the Christmas Committee and helped as part of a team to create a better Christmas Lights Night
I have helped with advertising local events and money has gone to Globe Not for Profit charity
There are lots of ideas I have as how I could help more of the community and local businesses for 2016, but it needs you to keep looking, sharing and liking #watchthisspace
Christmas do
As a very small business, Christmas office parties are somewhat, very different. There’s no big venue, no posh frock, no trying to talk to the big boss because now you’re a bit squiffy you have confidence to do so. No winking at people in your office that you wouldn’t normally, and no silly arms dancing in the air as you try to sing songs that you have made your own words up to. I don’t miss any of it
