Pride and Produce will celebrate one whole year on Main Street this May and look what they have achieved and accomplished in only the last 8 months.   Sarah, Gary and Jenny have brought  us  great food and award winning producers, as well as working with local produces who offer fabulous products such as Dumouchel, The Gin Shack, Old Leodensian Coffee Roasters in Kippax and Cryer and Stott from Sam Valentines in Allerton Bywater.  They also listen to what the community wants and in a short time of opening, they where soon open on Sunday’s offering a breakfast and brunch menu with  fantastic choices of something a bit special.

They have recently become Dementia Friends, being part of an initiative to help members of the public understand what it might be to like to live dementia and then turn that understanding into action.

And there’s more………..

‘Off the Wall’  was created at the back end of last year and it proves what connection Pride and Produce have with our local community.   For those who don’t know, ‘Off the Wall’ is a bit like being kind with food or a coffee! Community have come and donated a drink, a cake and a fair few have donated a whole ‘lunch on us’  and to add to the generosity,  P&P then go and match it.  This wall was created on the back of a few conversations on social media and in pride and produce itself last year about some people struggling with finances and in some cases, struggling to feed themselves some days.  ‘Off the Wall’ allows people in need or to help an elderly neighbour to come and take ‘Off the Wall’ and eat or drink for free!  So if you know someone who could benefit from this fabulous and generous creation, take them along.
