Chris’ Fruit and Veg shop has been here long before the busses turned into Fairburn Drive, It really is a family affair and Jen, Chris’ mum still helps out throughout the week. As well as all the other fabulous staff that have been with Chris for nearly as long as the shop as been open. Phyllis, Jo and Lynne
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful, long standing Greengrocers right here in the middle of our housing estate, still open and doing so, 7 days a week; Sundays from 9.30am- 1.30pm so there’s never any excuse not to buy our local fruit and veg for every meal.
Chris’ prices are extremely competitive and a lot of his veg is sourced within a 50 mile radius. Chris also uses local when it comes to other offerings such as, Dumouchel bread on a Saturday and Free range eggs from Darley’s Farm in Aberford.
Chris also delivers in and around Garforth to many local businesses including our care homes and schools; I bet you see his van all the time, day and night!
As some of you may know, TMD helped with getting LCC to paint better parking spaces outside this row of shops in order to keep people safe, park better and allow more customers to park. However, they are still working on shop owners to keep this free for customers only as it is important that all our shops have a future; there’s not many parades of 5 shops that are still surviving in a small residential estate; we really are very lucky.

Fruit, Veg, Flowers for all occasions, bedding plants, pot plants, hanging baskets, dairy such as yogurt, cheese, milk and free range eggs, salad, some groceries. Dumouchel Bread on a Saturday, Preservatives; jams and sauces. Chris also sells seasonal goods such as Pumpkins at Halloween, Christmas trees and ornaments along with wreaths and Pet and bird food too as well as hay for our littler pets.
We really need to keep shopping, keep following and keep him busy; he likes it that way
