What do we want, race car noises, when do we want them
 neeeeeeoooooooowwwww.

Where has this week gone?  I’m back to Friday writing the blog already!  Not        that i’m not happy about January disappearing and it being the last Friday in        it.  Bring on February where we can share love, and celebrate the youngest          #thomboy being a big 8.

So today has been,  International, let’s have fun at work day....   as I am on my own,  there is only so much fun one person can have in one’s office.  Back in the day, when I  worked in a team in the centre of town;  and the boss went out, we used to play Butt head…  Or grab the smallest girl in the office and see which of the smallest stationary boxes she could fit into   – brill!

It’s not as much fun on your own though !!!

I hope you’ve had a nice day in the office, it’s important that you’re not serious all the time; where’s the fun in that?!

What a nice email to receive from a guy, down under…..

Congratulations in being part of what I perceive to be Garforth’s revival. When I last visited the town four years ago, I was shocked, as it seemed to be in terminal decline. It seems to have its old heart pumping again. Keep up the good work.

It’s made my day!

EXCITING NEWS…..
As part of the Garforth Feastival Team, we found out this week that we are the proud winners of £4,000 from the Tesco’s, Bags of Help funding pot – we can do some great things with these funds and we will be shouting very loud about it soon – We share, We care, We do.

So, thank you very much for all your support, and big blue tokens that you kindly put into the boxes at Tesco’s before Christmas.   Now let’s help out the other 3 local projects that are here for a couple of months.  Football Teams and our local Musical Society.

I see HRH Princess Royal, Anne was in our area yesterday, visiting Sam Valentines over in Allerton Bywater and visiting Ginetta celebrating 60 years, whilst watching one of their cars spin a donut; she didn’t look that impressed with that bit!  Royals on our doorstep, hey?  We are honoured.

Are you a persistent PM (parking moaner?)
Do you mention the lack of parking and the heavy traffic around Main Street? Out of interest, did you make an objection in planning about Weatherspoon’s coming with no extra parking or causing a jam when their truck delivers, or are you an avid fan of their opening, from breakfast until last man out? Over 100 seats and up to 20 staff, daily…. Might be a little of the traffic/parking impact?

The Residents who now have permit parking on and near Woodlands Drive, are ‘some’ of you now wondering why Fairburn Drive is full of parked cars, and how it’s creating a struggle to get past? traffic had to go somewhere.

When the Lidl Complex opens up (with it’s extra plans for food restrictions moved, plus a few other things that have recently happened in planning that we couldn’t object too) and Home Bargains, a pub and (a)nother store arrives, will you complain if some of our long standing businesses in Garforth disappear? We’re only a small town

We can’t always have what we want, or have what we think we need and then have no thought about the problems they may bring.

Think long term, we need to think how it impacts on others after the event.
