What a great morning at Friend of Friend Networking meeting at Cielo. I met some really nice people, a mixture of local people and local businesses. You can see my little talk, which will give you some hints and tips of how best t use social media as a small business. A bit of understanding sometimes helps

Yesterday – Alzheimer’s coffee and cake – What a fabulous day yesterday (minus the wind) that caused me some havoc – greenhouse blew over and soil pipe broke away – but besides that we had a wonderful lunchtime, eating cake which was kindly donated by Dumouchel and we drank lovely Tea and Coffee whilst creating some #garforthrocks – we had a laugh, we chatted, we created, we listened to music – all the good things to keep our minds active. We raised £61 + £15.25 in gift aid from just 2 hours of coffee and cake and it’s all going to the Alzheimer’s society –

Some of you will have seen that Pease are celebrating 100 years on the 14th July – ONE HUNDRED YEARS, that’s amazing for any business to achieve this longevity in a business, but more importantly an independent business that has a fabulous track record of family owners taking on the business, decade after decade. May the Pease family continue to be forever, in Garforth.
As well as giving £100 every month to customers, they will be celebrating BIG, on Saturday 14th July

Hopefully the sun will be out and Pease of Garforth with the community’s help can raise a lot for these 2 charities.

We will also see Cielo celebrating 10 years on Main Street on the 14th July (it’s all happening in Garforth) Again 10 years for an independent business, especially Cielo with such a good ethos behind their business, the more we drink, buy coffee and tuck into their new lunch time menu, the more they can just keep giving. A social enterprise company at it’s best – watch out for their event on the evening of the 14th July when their Acoustic Night goes large. Tickets on sale at the counter.

Katherine from Sling Swing is running an event in Cielo from 12.00-1.00pm – – Share cuddles and special bonding time with your little one whilst you move to the beat with your partner or wife (and older siblings). Free session but please get in touch to let me know you’re coming and if you require a sling/carrier.
