This week I held another Repair Café meeting in the Library – the lovely Clary from Leeds Repair Café came along and we sat and listened to how they have been running their group, over the past 3 years. They run it every 2 months on a Saturday and it’s helped with lots of things. Not only fixing small appliances for example, but connected community, people also come to have a bite to eat, a natter and cuppa. This is mainly what I would like it our Repair Café to be, more than just a quick fix! I now have to go away and check on a few red tape issues, insurances and availability as well as looking to set up a separate, Facebook group to see if we can get you, the local community to come and be one of our volunteers. In order things happen, we need people to come together.

- Wednesday 6th February – Adults Funky Jives 8.00-9.00pm Garforth Methodist Church – Adults fun, freestyle dance classes. Dance along to some familiar tunes. - Thursday 7th at 7.30pm The Gaping Goose – Weekly Spiritual Development, Open Circle with Sue Carrol our local Psychic Medium – No need to book – just come along if you would like to learn meditation and connect with your own spirituality. All levels welcome.
- Thursday 7th February – Craft’n’bingo evening 7.15pm at South Milford WI Hall with Nic Baker from Independent Stampin up You are invited to join me for a fun evening of Bingo and some simple crafting. We will play three games of Bingo and in-between games make a cute little tin of cards which you could keep and use yourself or gift to a special friend. The cost for the evening is £20 which includes light refreshments, a goody bag of products to make your project ( you will have some left over) and three games of Bingo. There will be a prize for each game, prizes are craft supplies from the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogues. Booking is required for this event, the closing date is Monday 4th February.
