Garforth Academy also did us proud again with their wonderful land art, way to go year 7 – Video captured on a TV, but you can still see the great picture they created – I think we need to concentrate on the positives too Mr commentator
I’m now starting to think of other ideas where we could use bunting! Feastival of course, but for any occasion, as it makes our town look so good. Kippax looks amazing with their bunting across the street; you’ve got to love a bit of bunting
Garforth Independents get their seat!
From all parties, it has been another year of constant slagging off, back stabbing, public berating, and unnecessary comments on social media; its all got a bit boring, even after the vote has been called, it’s still going on and on,. I understand frustrations when you can’t get things you want and need, and obstacles getting put in your way as you want to protect the place you support, but there are better ways of going about it…. ‘Just because some people are fuelled by drama, it doesn’t mean you have to attend their performance!’ Therefore this year, I did not cast my vote! #mychoice

- TDY Friday – a lot of our local independent cafés and restaurants, and pubs are open late with great TDY themed offerings, including Cielo, Pride and Produce and Quirky Ales with The Gin Shack
- Saturday 4th May 7pm at The Miners Welfare Hall – George Michael Tribute Act – you can still book online this evening www.tributetickets.co.uk or you can buy on the door tomorrow
- Saturday 4th May – Saxton Ginfest with The Gin shack
- Sunday 5th – From 1-5pm Quirky Ales – Upcycled – keeping in the them of TDY Quirky are putting on something a little bit different with this great pop up sale of up-cycled furniture and handmade items – Jo Quirk and Rebecca from The Gin Shack have been very busy along with the fabulous Paper & Steel and they also have the amazing local band, Sticks and Stones playing from 3pm – Local lads from our local school.

- Tuesday 7th May – Station House Café, 9.30-11.30 Nic Baker Independent Stampin’ up bring Carta E Café These sessions are becoming increasingly more popular, you can drop in and make a handmade card and have a hot or cold drink. This is a leisurely and social session where you can drop in any time between 9.30-11.00am to make and create.
