New local Independent businesses coming on board soon:
Audiology Practice – I had a lovely meeting with Victoria this week, she has lots of plans for the practice which will help and assist our deaf community, a bit like a cool hub full of great things to do. Keep following to hear about it all.
Quirky Ales – we’ve finally got Richard, Simon and Arron on board with us, you know we will help them tell you what’s going on and what’s coming up – do you know they do a brew school? No, me neither, but what a great Christmas present – find out more https://quirkyales.com/brewschool/
Room 94 Boutique – Janine has had a really busy first week, and lots of great feedback. Do you know she does a live facebook night every Thursday. You can see all the new stock, prices and you can win a £50 Voucher for either of her Garforth or Morley shops – worth a follow https://www.facebook.com/Room94boutique/?ref=page_internal
Nicola Sutcliffe of Hays Travel – Nicola is an Independent Travel Agent, so works from home, which allows her to fin d you, your holiday at a time that suits you. She has nothing to do with the shop that has just arrived on Main Street, she’s a completely separate entity, just under the brand. Nicola has been on a training course this week, so we look forward to adding her on as a member this week
Lee Dawson – Azure Jewellery – Really looking forward to receiving information from Lee, the shop is a great asset to Main Street, tucked away, but so much he can do, fix, repair and show
David Riley – DJR Plumbing and Heating – Had a little training session with David this week, just helping him get on the Facebook Business page ladder, so hope to see plenty of posts from him soon. Many of you may knew David, he is a true Garfonian. David worked for British Gas for 18 years but has decided to try go out alone. He comes highly recommended by many and another great asset to have locally, especially at this time of year.
Debbie Adams – who has taken over Baby swimming lessons from Sam Dalton of Flutterbabies,. Debbie and the team will also be joining us soon – it will be great to hear about more local classes for you and your little ones
It was nice to hear Dan Robinson who had organised an Incredible Edibles meeting on Wednesday at Cielo had 20 enthusiastic people turn up to discuss how they want to get involved. I hope to share more with you as this progresses. You can find their page on facebook to keep updated too.

The Podger renovations are underway, inside and out! I’m looking forward to popping in for their new Sizzler menu when it re-opens on Friday 6th December. They are still looking for staff, so check out our jobs page above.
We’ve had mixed reviews about our Podcost, no, not about my voice, thank god! just some people prefer to read and some prefer to listen, I suppose it depends where you are and if you have headphones to hand or yu can listen out loud.
I would love feedback about our App, how easy do you find using it, will it encourage you to look at local even more?
It’s been a long week and I’m looking forward to being asleep by about 9pm!
Have a great weekend and use local when you can, because I’ve now made it even easier
Until next week…
