Good evening all, I hope you have all had a good week – can someone tell someone, that Fridays are coming around too quickly! One minute it’s miserable Monday, and the next, BAM… its Friday again, not that I’m complaining about Fridays, not ever, I love Fridays, it’s the days in between, they’re just flying by. It’s Yorkshire Day tomorrow, yes August the 1st, how did that happen? Who celebrates? Do you, or will you now, because the weather is set to stay great?
Nanny’s coming out!
That’s what I’m calling it,. May need a big banner in the front garden! I hope she likes the big cake we’ve ordered for her from Julia’s Cakes and Bakes. It says, ‘Nanny is coming out!’ …. No, she’s not changing her sexual preference at aged 75, she’s just coming out for the first time since the 14th March; and in the voice of Tom Cruise in Top Gun, ‘Woo!’ She is so excited to be seeing the Thomboys and being part of our bubble, finally! She has done brilliantly, being on her own in a small flat, with a little community Garden to sit in, when she was allowed, she’s been amazing. We’ve done a bit of shopping and bought her extra surprises and enough wool to knit a blanket to cover the world, but she is, and I knew she would be, a trooper.
As the sun is still set to be our friend tomorrow, we’ve actually planned, yes planned a little garden BBQ for her too, we can then show her how much we have missed her with hugs and love. We are very tactile family, we say how much we love each other all of the time, we’re very huggy – hugs are so important, kisses are good, snogs are better (easy) but hugs are like a human blanket holding all the care.. squeezes can really go a long way. So watch out Garforth, when we can all get out and hug, I’m coming for you… Main Deal lady, hugging through!

I’m hoping in September to return to our Podcasts, which I know is easier to listen to something, rather than watch, but I thank you for watching, as on average my weekly Vlog is viewed 600 times! Well done for sticking with me.
STOP what you’re doing
So we’ve seen, as of 12 O’Clock last night, some areas had to shut their doors again, as people are still not adhering to social distancing….. properly. I have heard a few people, pointing fingers and it’s not been nice, and I don’t like what I’m hearing. We need to stop being unkind. We all know people who are NOT sticking to being a sensible adult, we all know people who haven’t been doing anything different since March, so let’s not point fingers. People need to step up and stop being complacent, be sensible and stick to the social distancing required, it’s called being safe for you and your family. I hope over summer there are no more returns to lockdown as it will put a big strain on what happens in September and the months going forward, imagine the kids not going back to school in September!
News just in – any treatments to the face will also be postponed until the 15th August, your salon will most likely be in touch if you have had an appointment booked in before then… yes me, teen wolf here!
Planning for Car park (Townsend)
We’re still waiting to see the plans for the Car Park be added to the public access page in Leeds City Council, as soon as they are up, I will let you know.
As this is my last blog for the summer, I wish you all a lovely break, whatever you have planned, going away or just day visits with 1 other household, or just spending some time away from work and not being a pretend teacher… enjoy! Just in case I haven’t mentioned it …., I’ve not had a day off since Christmas, so I need to switch off and close some of my tabs. Don’t worry though, you won’t know I’m not there, you just won’t see or hear me, but you will still all the important stuff you need to know about living in the place you chose to live.
I’ve started the Summer off already – a great lunch, you have to look at the things you wouldn’t normally do!
