I can do all of these, but just 6 people together? If you have lots of children do you have to choose your favourite and put the others outside? Just kidding…. damned if they do, and damned if they do nothing, nobody can win with these measures, we can only hope should people comply, life will be easier, quicker!
This weekend was meant to be my annual weekend away with my school friends, my best friends. Every year we hire a cottage, a hot tub, drink too much and eat a copious amount of snackage; crisps in a bowl floating in a hot tub! Sadly, this virus has other ideas, and the measures in place where never going to allow 10 of us be together this year; unless we decided to be in a hunting club and shoot pheasant….yep, that’s a thing! As a busy Mum and business owner, life is pretty hectic 365 days of the year, never mind chucking in holidays, birthdays, christmas and extra projects, it just makes weekends like this, a godsend. We have had to postpone it to next year and I only hope that by then, there’s either a vaccine, corona has done one, or we’ve taken up shooting!
So now at 46, yes I did celebrate it with my now, 50 year old husband; he’s so lucky to have such a young wife! But I ask, does age make us wiser? Do we take more time or do we have less patience? We no longer have to worry if we dislike our face or body as we age, as we now have choices to change that, and a great selection of dentists and people in the aesthetic industry to enhance what we already have. I don’t see it as anti ageing, and of course I want to grow old, disgracefully… but I think it’s fabulous that should we not feel great about this line here or there, we can do something about it should we choose. I know my Nan would have killed for treatments we have available today. She hated her thin lips and found the lipstick on teeth everyday a bind. Great fashion choices – dress in what makes you happy
I’m a great believer in colour and dressing in whatever makes you happy, I feel you have to be uber confident to wear all black and feel good about yourself, so I always choose colour! So it’s great to see we have 3 ladies clothes shops on Main Street, it’s so good to have many choices. Between the forever standing and fabulous Dorothy Annes, the arrival of the lovely Vanessa of Lilypops Boutique and Janine of Room 94 who’s already established over in Morley and knows a trick or two. It now means we have a great array of fantastic things to buy for ourselves, friends or family – I do post a fair bit of their posts, and try to limit them to 5 a day, otherwise you would see their whole catalogue range and there would be no room for anyone else. So give them a follow and keep up to date with their latest trends and autumn wear coming up. pick the colour that makes you happy.

The LCC Public Access page is currently down for maintenance so I am unable to see any new or awaited planning permissions this week, however….
Hearing of news on the grapevine that a current business will be changing how they do things, and we in Garforth will be the first to trial it…. News to follow soon!
