So, we’re in Tier Two (for now) my friends are in Tier Three and my family, well, we cant see some them because they’re in North Wales… I think the longer it goes on, the more tears there will be. Many people have opinions about what should or shouldn’t happen, but I think we can all agree on one thing, we’re all fed up of it, as are our local businesses. All of our pubs, bars and eateries are doing their best to make your visit as safe as possible, and I know it all reads as though we can’t move, breath or laugh with anyone other than our family, but if it means we can still go out with them, do it locally. I did ask in a post this week, if you could choose any food or drinks company in Garforth to deliver your favourite thing, what would it be and where from? Social Media, it needs to be
I currently shout, scream and sometimes plead to our local businesses to use their FREE social media pages more regularly and more consistently in order to help raise their profile of their business; it really does help. If they get it right and share the right content and knowledge, and even the love of their business, people will follow and be influenced to buy and use local more. Some businesses find it a chore, they feel it’s something they ‘have’ to do, I can’t plead this more than ever, it is very much a ‘need’ to do. Having a nosy at the planning this afternoon, and as per one of our blog posts mentioning a possible change to an existing business, we’ve now found out that Bargain Booze will be changing their business model to, Tippl – we are lead to believe they will still be a bottle shop but also a place to drink inside – we await confirmation

TOF night (aka: Take Out Friday)
Since lockdown we have created this a new tradition, each week someone chooses what we get, this week, we’re going all out and have a GOF night, ‘Go Out Friday,’ so we’re off the the Crooked Billet for dinner – Mr Thom’s choice
