WOW, a week of a little bit of normal done. Please make it last another 2 weeks, as I know of some school bubbles that have already burst, and some of the reasons I have heard about are just irresponsible reasons. If you think we’re back to normal, then attitudes follow and so do cases. Nobody wants a, ’10 day period’ of being at home again!

Information was released on social media this week of increases in Covid cases across towns in Leeds and unfortunately, Garforth was one of them. Facebook Fails me
As many of you may have read, Facebook has kindly stopped sending me notifications every time a business page I follow, posts; which is helpful! It has been like this for 4 weeks now. After a short browse on social media to see if anyone else was having the same problem, I found a page, on Facebook called, ‘Facebook Notifications is not working, FB please help,’ there are 2.4k members on this page – not sure whether to laugh at the irony or bang my head on a wall!

Over the past few weekends we have been working on our project ‘when-will-this-garden-be-done.’ A project that was meant to be completed in April 2020! To try and save some pennies, we have been doing some of the labour work ourselves. Now, we’re not afraid of hard work, and my husband and I are like Trojans when something needs doing, we just get on with it and work until the job is finished. We have lifted a whole decking area and I got to use some great electric saws and fun tools, we also lifted some bricks, concrete, soil, and compost. As much as the mind is always willing, as you get closer to 50, the body really isn’t, both my husband and I are generally fit, I cover 10km most days which include Zumba classes and walking, my husband cycles every weekday. However, over the next two days that followed, we could not move; to be fair, we had literally lifted a garden! This week we’re emptying sheds getting them ready to dismantle before we put something new in their place, and time is also against us, so if you see someone walking like they have something broken, it’s me, shout hi; but please don’t laugh!
Planning
More interest coming in for empty premises this week, P&P and TUI units being looked at. I will share details when I can, and if anything happens from their visits.
I see in planning, plans have been approved for 70 Main Street (old Lasercharge’s building) now will my predictions be true, will Mr. Hussain be Akbars, or will it be nothing of the sort? Let’s wait and see what comes along and let’s hope whatever it is, its exciting.
