Welcome back, if you were lucky enough to get away for the half term, I hope you had a good week? We travelled to Northumberland, and stayed in a beautiful cottage in the middle of a little hamlet; well I suppose they are little that’s why they’re called a hamlet! Our neighbours for the week were two rescue donkeys named by the Thomboys, as Simon and Jonathan, there were also a few unusual sheep, that looked like they were wearing balaclavas, and the owner of our cottage, who lived in an annex next door, Ms. Wancke…. Yes, that was her name, I’m truly not sure how you pronounced it, so I put a German spin on it, and made the W a V! It was so lovely to sit in a garden, look out onto green fields, valleys, and animals, and not at neighbours in bathrooms who don’t have blinds! Just a hint (request) if you have a bathroom that looks onto other properties, please buy blinds, as dark can see into light; to be honest even in the daylight you can see everything, and I mean, everything! I digress, our week in Northumberland was a very busy one, we walked, cycled, and climbed; the dog is pooped. But the break from school and work was needed by us all. It was nice to actually leave home, the drive, and the garden.
I hope you’re enjoying the weather, especially as it’s set to get even warmer this weekend; just think of all those people who went abroad for the sun!
We’re here to help

Poddy or Vloggy?
Before the world stopped, I was getting into regular podcasting. I really enjoyed it, so I am now asking myself, is now the right time to get back to it. I need to speak to the wonders of the Garforth world, the local people, and the people behind the business, or do I keep Vlogging? Answers on an email: christine@themaindeal.co.uk. Would you prefer to listen, or watch and listen?
