Shirts…. no, no leave them on. I know it’s hot and sticky but…. This week, I saw several lads with their tops off, including girls in bras, yes, bras walking down Main Street – each to their own, but I say tops off for the beach and your garden, I don’t like nipples out and about in public, am I getting old?
But what a week for great weather, it’s been so lovely hasn’t it? Too hot for some, just right for me, but as we’ll soon see, it’s all changing this afternoon, and it’s getting cooler with a possibility of hail, lightning, and thundershowers; sounds like a character from Thundercats, Huuuuuuh!
Plastic, Paper, and all things crappy!
The more we use, the more it will continually be produced. On Wednesday, I went to The Greengrocers and Firths Butchers, and whilst I was there, 5 people spent money on buying a plastic or paper bag! Last Friday, we had takeout, and it arrived in polystyrene trays… their food was nice, but I won’t be using them again because of their packaging. It’s up to us to stop using it first, just be mindful when shopping, #takeabag this doesn’t mean someone you know!
It can cost less to shop local
As we all know, the cost of living is a real struggle for many, both personally and for small businesses. (but definitely not petrol stations) For example, using The Greengrocers, Willow Park Farm, and Refill & Go, can really help save those pennies as you’re only buying what you need. Let’s say, 2 carrots, 4 potatoes, 2 burgers, 300g of mince, and 3 sausages, 200g of Rice, 150g Pasta, and 25g of Herbs. You’re driving less to go local, which saves money on fuel too. Bags of many items doesn’t save you money, the bag is sometimes plastic, and you can also end up throwing food away because you haven’t used all of what you have bought. It’s a mind switch that can save you money, and the planet!

It’s a family favourite, a sweet thing to attend. I remember our first visit back in 1999, and I cried as I thought the community was lovely. Take your family and enjoy the fun of being local. Dance, Tombola, Fairground attractions, Licensed Bar, Food Stalls, Craft and local stalls, and fun activities going on in the arena throughout the day.

From a marketing perspective, I’m not sure it’s convenient as the footfall to the shop is limited! The amount of alcohol one can carry will also be limited as you can’t park! Scratching my head on this one for many reasons!
New homes

I know only two are near completion, but new houses, mean plots, and drawings; oh, and if you have between £374k and £580k you can buy one, sorry, butler is not included!
