The Apprentice
Does anyone watch it? It’s become a household favourite in our house, and I love to watch the crazy ideas, the lack of experience, the unnecessary power dressing, and the cringe factors from all the learning… no, not Alan and his counterparts, the candidates… Last night was the Interview process where all 4 finalists were set to task over their business plans and business models and making every effort to pour their heart and soul into telling Alan Sugar why he should invest £250k and become their business partner… notice here, I’m not calling him Lord Sugar…not going to, he has a name, it’s called Alan as has Karen Braidy, she’s called Karen and for those who have heard the word Karen used by their children, I think Baroness Braidy did it some justice last night!… NOT ROYALTY
Yes, the candidates are wet behind the ears, and inexperienced. Their business plans could certainly do with some homework, and they need to know that flat shoes are ok, but they’re in this process because they want to do and be something great. so constructive criticism is far more helpful than passing someone a box of tissues because your words have made them cry…. In the world of social media, I think Kazza will be called “BARANESS BRAIDY” for quite some time to come as it’s shouted EVERYWHERE from all those who watch it.
Hidden cemetery in Garforth
Wow, Monday was a bit of a revelation on the news front, about the local Saxon and Roman findings; I bet the Garforth historical group wishes they hadn’t disbanded now!
This find will now give historians and archaeologists an understanding of the transition between the end of the Roman era and the beginning of the Saxon one. It’s fascinating stuff and great to hear that it has put Garforth on the map for something brilliant.
The area is now complete so there is nothing more to find, so for all those guessing and getting out spades… don’t.
