How many delightful weeks of great weather have we enjoyed? As we look ahead to tomorrow’s forecast, a gentle breeze and scattered showers are in store. Please note that the percentage displayed (43%) does not indicate the likelihood of rain, but rather the area affected by the “chance of precipitation.” Therefore, we recommend bringing your raincoats and umbrellas to the Feastival, ensuring you’re prepared for any light showers that may come our way.

To ensure fairness and variety, we adhere to a strict policy at Feastival of avoiding stall duplications. This means you’ll have an abundance of options to choose from.

As for this morning, I was hammering away with gusto. If you want to hammer well, channel any lingering frustrations from the week into your swings—it can be surprisingly cathartic!

Is it time to Tweet off?

Twitter has been a source of frustration and annoyance for many lately, with ongoing changes that have affected different users in various ways. One notable change is the restriction of only being allowed to view 600 Tweets per day, which may not pose a problem for users like myself, but can significantly impact influencers and journalists who rely heavily on the platform. It seems that Twitter’s focus is shifting towards monetising the platform by targeting these specific user groups…. clever or not so clever?

However, Mark Zuckerberg is closely following Musk’s lead with his new Instagram version called Threads; are you on it?  Over 6 million people have signed up already! This could potentially be the game-changer that attracts those individuals who live their lives through social media. If a better alternative arises, they may switch platforms sooner than Musk anticipates. It’s a warning for him to tread carefully and not underestimate the potential competition. Perhaps Musk is best to stick with Space X and Tesla, rather than try his luck in the realms of social media!  It could all be ‘Tweety-pie’ if he’s not careful

Planning

  • From Wednesday 26th July for 6 Weeks – Gas Works on and around Ninelands Road
  • M1 Over night closures M1(A1) which will affect Garforth Junctions – Sections of motorway in West Yorkshire face three overnight closures to allow for sign replacement work. National Highways said gantry signs are being changed between Tuesday and Thursday where the M1 and A1(M) merge. Routine maintenance to repaint road surface lines will also be carried out. The M1 northbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 46 and J48 during the nightly work, National Highways said, along with the A1(M) northbound between junctions 42 and 44. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the section of A1(M) will be closed between 22:00-06:00 BST, with the M1 stretch near Garforth closed between 20:00-06:00.On Thursday, the A1(M) closure between the Selby Fork roundabout and Bramham will run from 20:00-06:00, with the M1 section shut between 22:00-06:00.
